RECONCILIATION WEEK
This year’s Reconciliation Week (May 27 to June 3) is a fantastic time of year where people from all walks of life come together in recognition of our shared identity as Australians.
This is a time when we amplify what makes us the same, rather than what makes us different, as we work towards a society free from disadvantage and discrimination.
We believe it’s the very blood which runs in our veins that makes us human – representing our shared humanity.
In recognition of this perspective, we look to rally our workforce to roll up their sleeves this Reconciliation Week and give blood – essentially, giving the gift of life to our fellow Australians.
TAKING ACTION
First Nation Engineering will this year be leading a practical initiative get our people involved in Lifeblood’s critical blood-donation initiative.
Lifeblood is the Red Cross local organisation responsible for collecting blood, plasma, transplantation and biological products for those in need across our nation.
First Nation Engineering is joining forces with Carey Group Holdings, CPC Engineering, and our broader network of subcontractors and suppliers, in seeking to:
A: Increase awareness of our shared humanity through the vital activity of blood-donations.
B: Undertake a practical, physical initiative which not only brings people together for Reconciliation but works towards the common good in a tangible way.
