Training focus for CPC and Carey

The collaboration that led to the establishment of First Nation Engineering has also provided the basis for extended training services.

CPC Engineering and Carey Training have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enable a suitably qualified and accredited CPC Trainer to present various training courses to CPC employees under the auspices of Carey’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status.

The MOU has been registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the national regulator for vocational education and training, and will operate initially until May 2023.

VET is the main way Australians upskill or reskill.

CPC Engineering will use Carey Training materials and will be audited by Carey to ensure that all training, assessment, and reporting is carried out to the appropriate standard.

The MOU provides a unique opportunity for the two organisations to cooperate.

There is scope for an expansion to the Carey RTO scope for areas not already covered.

Carey Training specialises in all aspects of workforce development needs for job seekers and existing workers.

It is active in preparing people for work in the civil, construction, and resources and infrastructure industries in metropolitan, regional and remote parts of the country.
